UV DTF Ink Application

Our UV DTF ink printing solution utilizes eco-friendly UV-curable ink technology, offering a fast and efficient way to produce high-quality labels. With vibrant colors and sharp details, designs become more vivid and eye-catching. It is compatible with a wide range of materials, making personalized branding creation effortless.

01 Background

Traditional crystal labels are produced through mold injection or manual casting, where resin is applied over pre-printed labels and cured naturally or by heating to create a crystal-like effect. This method is not only complex and time-consuming but also yields inconsistent results and poses potential risks to health and the environment.

Our UV DTF Ink solution revolutionizes the process by utilizing advanced UV printing and spraying technology. This approach significantly simplifies production, lowers costs, and enhances both image precision and color vibrancy. It allows for high-resolution pattern printing on a variety of surfaces, with the advantages of rapid curing and eco-friendly materials. Additionally, the solution delivers embossed effects, making crystal labels more distinctive and luxurious.

03 Process

03

1. Design and Preparation

Import the design file into the UV printer’s control software and configure printing parameters such as resolution, color settings, and embossed layer thickness.

2. UV Printing on A Film

Place the A film on the printer platform and secure it firmly.Print the design layer by layer using the UV printer, with each layer instantly cured by UV light to ensure precision and durability. To enhance dimensionality and visual appeal, selectively apply varnish and foil stamping. This adds a refined, glossy effect, elevating your design to stand out and turning simple concepts into extraordinary results.

3. B Film Application

Align and adhere the UV DTF B film to the A film, completing the crystal label assembly.

4. Application

Attach the finished crystal label to the target surface, press firmly, and peel off the protective film to transfer the design.

This die-cut adhesive process ensures sharp, intricate patterns and text with vibrant, saturated colors. The addition of foil stamping significantly enhances the product’s premium quality and visual appeal.

04 Precautions

04

UV DTF (Direct to Film) printing technology is a method that directly prints UV ink onto transfer films, which are then heat-transferred to various materials. It is widely applied in industries such as apparel, advertising, and accessories. Below are key considerations for the UV DTF ink application process:

Ink Selection and Compatibility: Choose UV DTF inks that are compatible with both the printer and transfer films, ensuring the design is clearly and durably transferred to the target material. The quality of UV DTF ink directly affects print quality. High-quality inks can improve color vibrancy and enhance durability.

Printer Settings and Adjustment:Adjust the printer’s printhead and temperature settings during the printing process to ensure even ink distribution and avoid clogging.

Ensure the printer operates in an environment with a stable temperature. Extreme temperatures can affect ink flow and the transfer result.

Transfer Film Selection:The quality and thickness of the transfer film directly affect the final transfer outcome. Selecting the right film ensures design clarity and durability.Different transfer films are designed for different materials (e.g., textiles, leather, plastic), so it is essential to choose the correct type for the specific application.

Pre-treatment and Cleaning:Prior to printing, ensure the print surface is clean, free from dust, oil, and other contaminants that could hinder ink adhesion. Some materials (like metal or glass) may require surface treatments to improve ink adhesion.

UV Curing Process:UV DTF technology requires UV light to cure the ink. During this process, the intensity and exposure time of UV light should be precisely controlled for complete curing. Both over-curing and under-curing can lead to poor results, affecting the design's color and durability.

Heat Transfer Process:Ensure the surface of the transfer material is clean for optimal adhesion. The film should be peeled slowly and at the correct angle to achieve smooth and clean removal.By properly managing these factors, the performance and durability of UV DTF technology can be optimized to meet diverse customer needs.
